1949-1976 41mm Custom Octagon Fork Lowers

Replace your stock 41mm fork lowers with something nobody has ever seen before. Pooks Parts 1949-1976 Octagon fork lowers are manually machined in house out of high quality steel with a variety of finishes. These operate like a stock 41mm fork lower. Installation is quick and easy.  

NOTE: These are fork lowers ONLY not a whole front end

Measurements

Measure from bottom of lower to the bottom of the triple tree for most accurate length. 3 to 4 inches of travel clearance is recommended.

If you're not sure about sizing or need something custom feel free to reach out.

Installation instructions:

  1. Remove old fork tube.
  2. Inspect fork tube for any damage.
  3. Lightly coat inside of fork lower and seal with fork oil.
  4. Carefully slide fork lower over inner fork tube making sure you do not damage the oil seal.
  5. Tighten dampener bolt and crush washer to Harley Davidson torque spec.
  6. Fill fork tube with 7 oz of fork oil. (We recommend type E or 15w.)
  7. Enjoy.

Note: Fork lowers DO NOT extend the length of your front end. New extended inner fork tubes are required based on application. Stock axle will not work without modification. Custom axles and spacers sold below.
